Private piles treatment in Essex

A straightforward procedure, explained clearly

At Rectify, we use a clinically approved technique to treat internal haemorrhoids without surgery. It’s safe, effective, and takes under an hour – all carried out in a discreet clinic setting by a trained doctor.

Some people feel relief immediately, while for others, symptoms ease over a few weeks. Everybody is different, and that’s why we tailor your plan to you.

Whether you’re just exploring your options or looking ahead to treatment, we’re here to guide you at your own pace.

How it works

What to expect at each step
Your first appointment

We’ll start with a private consultation to understand your symptoms and concerns. If you're suitable for treatment and ready to go ahead, we can usually carry it out the same day, treating up to three haemorrhoids in one session.

The treatment

Using a mild electric current, we seal off the blood supply to each haemorrhoid, so it shrinks naturally over time. No cutting. No general anaesthetic. Most people go straight back to their day afterwards.

Aftercare

You’ll receive clear aftercare advice and we’ll check in with you around four weeks later. If further treatment is needed, we’ll talk it through with honesty and care.

Led by a doctor who understands

Rectify was founded by Dr Steve Fox, a respected clinician with nearly 30 years of experience treating haemorrhoids – first as a surgical junior, then as an endoscopist and bowel screening lead.

Over the years, he’s met countless people who’ve waited too long for help, unsure what treatment involved or where to turn.

At Rectify, Steve and his team offer a better way: expert, non-surgical care that’s personalised, private, and focused on restoring your quality of life, without the fear or fuss.

How much does it cost?

We believe in clear, upfront pricing, so you can plan with confidence.

Your first appointment with Rectify costs £1,195.

This includes:

  • A full consultation and examination – £365

  • Your first treatment session (up to three haemorrhoids treated) – £830

If, after your consultation, you’re not suitable for treatment, you’ll only pay the consultation fee. The treatment cost will be refunded in full.

We’re proud to offer expert, non-surgical care with no hidden charges. We also offer 0% finance to help spread the cost, and we’re recognised by a number of private medical insurers.

Common questions

Quick answers

We use a clinically approved electrotherapy treatment to safely shrink internal haemorrhoids. A small probe delivers a low electrical current to the base of the pile, cutting off its blood supply and causing it to shrink naturally. The procedure is quick, safe, and non-surgical – with no downtime or recovery period.

Most people feel very little during treatment – often nothing at all. You might notice a slight sensation during the procedure, but there’s no need for anaesthetic or sedation. You can walk in and walk out, comfortably.

Rectify is designed for people with internal haemorrhoids (grades 1 to 3), including those who haven’t responded to creams or lifestyle changes. It’s suitable for both men and women – and often ideal for those looking to avoid surgery or long NHS waiting times.

Each haemorrhoid takes around 10 minutes to treat, and we can treat up to three piles in one session. The full appointment, including consultation, examination and treatment, usually lasts 45 to 60 minutes.

You’ll be lying on your side during the procedure, so if you have any back, hip or mobility issues, let us know – we’ll do everything we can to keep you comfortable throughout.

Yes. If you choose not to continue after your examination, that’s absolutely fine. We’ll refund the treatment portion of the cost. You’ll only be charged for the consultation and examination, which is £365.

There’s no pressure to proceed. We’re here to give you clear information so you can make the decision that’s right for you.
