Your Rectify treatment journey

A safe, non-surgical treatment for internal haemorrhoids

We offer fast, effective relief from internal haemorrhoids (also known as piles) through a clinically approved electrotherapy procedure. The treatment is non-surgical, requires no sedation or anaesthetic, and involves minimal recovery time – meaning most people can return to their normal day straight after their appointment.

Some people feel an immediate sense of relief, while for others, improvement builds steadily over a few weeks.

Whatever your symptoms, we’ll support you every step of the way – starting with a friendly conversation.

Your first appointment

Your first visit usually lasts around one hour. It includes a detailed consultation, where we’ll talk through your symptoms, medical history, and any concerns you have. If you’re suitable for treatment, your appointment will also include your first session – treating up to three haemorrhoids in one go.

The examination is straightforward and discreet. While you’re lying on the couch, Dr Fox will gently insert a small plastic tube (called a proctoscope) to view the area and assess the size and position of your piles.

This helps us understand how many treatments you may need and tailor your plan accordingly.

The treatment itself

Once we’ve completed the assessment, Dr Fox will begin the treatment using a new, single-use proctoscope and probe.

The probe is gently placed on the base of each haemorrhoid for several minutes. It delivers a low electrical current, which triggers a chemical reaction that seals off the feeding blood vessel. Without its blood supply, the haemorrhoid begins to shrink naturally.

There’s no cutting, stitching or burning involved – which means no need for anaesthetic, no hospital stay, and far lower risk of pain afterwards.

Many patients feel nothing during the procedure and continue their day as normal.

Follow up and aftercare

Every patient receives personalised aftercare guidance at the end of their appointment, and we’ll follow up by phone and email about four weeks later.

During that call, we’ll check in on your symptoms, answer any questions and review your progress using your consultation notes. This is also a good opportunity to discuss whether any further treatment is needed.

Many people find that one treatment is enough. But if you have larger haemorrhoids, or several with broader bases, you may benefit from more than one session

We’ll always be honest, supportive, and clear about what to expect – with no pressure.

The cost of our treatment

We’ve made our pricing clear and flexible, so you can choose the option that suits you best. There are no hidden fees – just professional care from start to finish.

These prices apply to self-pay patients. If you’d prefer to spread the cost, we offer 0% finance options. We’re also recognised by a number of private medical insurers.
